Zelpha E. Elford, 67, of Kalkaska, died Aug 31, 1998 at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
Mrs. Elford worked for Triggs-Miner for a few years and was a homemaker. She had been a resident of Kalkaska County for the past 16 years having moved from Owosso.
Born in Owosso on Feb 19, 1931, she was the daughter of Homer J and Treva M (Hicks) Skutt. She married Harry W. Elford in Kalkaska on Sep 4, 1982.
She was a member of Spencer Church of Christ, and past 9th District President and also past president VFW #9455 in Owosso.
Besides her husband, she is survived by son Steven Fowler of FL; stepdaughters Connie (Jerry) Criven of Horsehead, NY and Sally (Ronald) Hosington of Bancroft; stepsons Russell (Rona) Elford of Marion, Harry (Kathy) Elford Jr of Atlanta, GA, and John Elford of Houston, TX; sisters Jackie Jones of Owosso, Yvonne (Henry) Giberson of FL, and Mavis Hibbs of Mt. Pleasant; brother Roy Skutt of Roscommon.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Franklin.
Funeral services were held Sep 4 at Jennings-Lyons Funeral Chapel in Owosso with burial in Ft Custer Cemetery in Battle Creek. Rev. Robert Saxton officiated.
