Winfield S. Koelling, 69, of Kalkaska passed away on Apr 23, 2005, at the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center - Long Term Care. Born on Jul 26, 1935, in Chicago, IL, Winfield was the son of Harold and Dorothy (Metzler) Koelling.
A veteran of the US Air Force, Winfield served our country during the Korean War. He was a design engineer for Arrow Industries, a toy manufacturer, in Chicago.
Winfield married Elizabeth Fiorino on Dec 27, 1983 in Chicago. Togethre they moved from Chicago to Kalkaska in 1986.
Winfield also worked at the Craft House in Kalkaska. He was a member of the American Legion Sherwood Beebe Post 480, VFW Post 8684 and Moose Lodge in Kalkaska.
Surviving Winfield is his wife Elizabeth; children, Scott Koelling and Lynne (Mitch) Reynolds; step son Charles Fiorino; grandson, Kevin Koeeling; sister, Judith Nauker, and brother, Frederick Koelling.
Winfield was preceded in death by his parents; and step son, Carmen Fiorino.
Cremation has taken place per Winfield's wishes. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
Arrangements were made by the Wolfe Funeral Home.
