Wilmer Laxton, 73, of Battle Creek, died Sat, Feb 17, 1990, at Veterans Administration Medical Center after a long illness.
He was born in Shannon County, MO, and came to Battle Creek in 1924. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was employed by the former Duplex Manufacturing Co and Oliver Equipment Co. He retired in 1978 from Battle Creek Equipment Co after 15 years. He was a member of the National Rifle Association.
Surviving are one son, David W. Laxton, of Battle Creek; his mother, Frances M Cutchall of Battle Creek; four grandchildren; three sisters, Irene Ernsberger and Pauline Kissinger, both of Battle Creek; and Bessie Robinson of Augusta; and a brother, Charles White of Dowling.
Services will be 1 pm Wednesday at Royal Funeral Home.
