Ray Hanna, 68, of 217 West Ninth Street, died early this morning at Munson Medical Center following a long illness.
He was born June 24, 1899, at Grayling and moved to Traverse City when a small boy. Mr. Hanna, an Army veteran of World War I, married Lillie Christopher on Nov. 24, 1921
Surviving in addition to his wife, are five daughters, Mrs. Harry (Minnie) Herington and Mrs. Ernest (Mabel) Hentschel of Muskegon; Mrs. Virginia McCrea, Mrs. Albert (Ellen) Clark and Mrs. Merril (Nettie) Milks, all of Traverse City; two sons, W. Ray, Jr. of Polk Ohio and Capt. Julius Hanna, stationed with the U.S. Army in Germany; 43 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Martinson funeral home with Rev. D.B. Myers officiating. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery.
