A memorial service in celebration of his life will be held on Sat, May 28, at 1 pm at the Fife Lake Methodist Church in Fife Lake.
Ken passed away peacefully Jan 12, 2005, at the Frankenmuth Lutheran Home in Frankenmuth, with his family by his side. In accordance to his wishes, cremation has taken place.
He was born May 5, 1914 in Detroit, to the late Catherine Radermacher Hansen and Edward Hansen. He shared over 68 years of marriage with his wife, the former Helen Bosworth. She survives him.
In 1944 he and his family moved from the Detroit area to Fife Lake, where they operated a resort on Fife Lake until hi retirement. He also operated Fife Lake bottled Gas Co. In 1978 he retired from Cone Drive Gear in Traverse City.
He was an active member of Fife Lake Methodist Church where he was a Lay Leader and he was also a member of the First Methodist Church in Stuart, FL and the Methodist Church in Caseville. He was an active member of the Fife Lake Historical Society and he was a big part in the rebuilding of the museum.
He was a very kind, gentle, thoughtful, and loving man who was very proud of his family. He enjoyed playing cards and he especially enjoyed watching birds and he marveled in their beauty.
Surviving are two daughters and one son, Juanita (Tom) Dupuie of Frankenmuth, Judith (John) Euler, Benton Harbor, and James of Holt; nine grandchildren, Mark Dupuie, Brian Dupuie, Randall Perrin, Kirk Dupuie, Russell Perrin, Paul Hansen, Bradley Dupuie, Joel Hansen, and Ryan Perrin; 20 great grandchildren; and a nephew, Joseph Busch.
He was preceded in death by his son Jerold Edward Hansen in 1958 and a sister, Clarisa Busch.
