William L. Doran, 71, of Kalakska, died Thu, Jul 16, 1998, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Ann Arbor.
Mr. Doran was employed by Ajax Forging and Casting Company in Detroit prior to his retirement in 1978. He resided in Brighton until 1980, when he moved to Kalkaska. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII, and active in the Mancelona Chapter of the Disabled American Veterans. St. Mary's of the Wood Catholic Church, and the CETA Hall.
Born in Boston, MA on Jan 5, 1927, he was the son of William and Anna Matucci Doran. He married Rose Nardi in Brighton on Jul 2, 1949. She precede him in death on Nov 28, 1995.
Surviving are son Leo Doran of Montana; daughters Margaretrose Sullivan of TN and Mary Doran Barnes of Conway; sister Connie Flanigan of FL; 12 grandchildren; and and eight great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Jul 20 at St. Mary's of the Woods Catholic Church. Father Jim Suchocki officiated. Burial was in St. Mary of the Woods Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
