William J. Clark, 96, oldest resident of Flynn township, died Mon afternoon in Yale Community Hospital after a three-week illness.
He was a Flynn township farmer most of his life.
Born Apr 13, 1866 in Lucknow, Ontario, he was the son of Isaac and Phoebe Clark and came to Flynn Township with his parents at the age of 10.
Mr. Clark and Miss Anna Bruce were married October 7, 1891, in Speaker township.
His wife died Jun 15, 1961. He is survived by two sons, Donald and Elmer Clark, both of Brown City; three daughters, Mrs. Charles Walker, Marlette; Mrs. Earl Cronce and Mrs. Mary Clapsaddle, both of Brown City; a sister, Mrs. Harry Franklin, Detroit; 15 grandchildren; 60 great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren.
Home where funeral services will be conducted at 2pm today (Thu) by Rev. John Roach, pastor of Omard Methodist Church.
Burial will be in Omard Cemetery.
Grandsons will be pallbearers.
