Melvin, Mar 7 – Funeral services were held, Tue at 2pm from the Baptist church for William Henry Urtter, 68, who died Sun morning at his home. Rev. Perry Deyarmend Pastor officiated. Burial was made in the Melvin Cemetery.
Mr. Utter was born May 11, 1881 in Speaker Township and had been a life time resident of the community. He married Anna Parkins of Melvin on Jan 6, 1902. Mrs. Utter died a few years after their marriage and he married Margaret McPhee in Apr of 1917.
He is survived by his widow a son, Lloyd Utter, Of Melvin; three daughters, Mrs. Fred Dahlke of Port Huron, Mrs. Henry Waldrop of Detroit, and Mrs. Alberta Utter of Melvin; his mother, Mrs. S. Utter of Peck; a brother, Frank Utter of Melvin; two sisters, Mrs. Charles Allen of Croswell and Mrs. Louis English of Peck.
