William H. Longton, Sr., 83, of Sandusky, died Tue, May 6, 1997, a Sanilac Medical Care Facility in Sandusky.
Mr. Longton was born Mar 21, 1914, in Rapid City to Frank and Mary (Turner) Longton. He was married to Drama McDonald who preceded him in death.
Surviving are sons William H Longton Jr. of Seaside, OR, and Michael A Longton of Summerfield, FL; daughters Veronica A Longton of Sandusky and Patricia S. Woods of Pontiac; sister Emma Lowrey of Davisburg and brother Clare (Irene) Longton of Vero Beach, FL; 15 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his wife he was preceded in death by a daughter, Jean Longton; brothers, Harold, Glenn, Cecil, and Vern Longton, and sister Nellie.
A memorial service will be held Sun, Aug 3, at 3 pm at Rapid City with Pastor Jerry Rupe officiating. Burial was in Clearwater Township Cemetery, Rapid City. Arrangements by Hacker Funeral Parlors, Sandusky.
