William F "Bill" Nikischer Sr., 93, of Williamsburg, passed away peacefully on Fri, Aug 4, 2006, at Hope Village in Williamsburg.
Born on Feb 13, 1913, in Detroit, he was the son of the late, Steven and Anna (Wirth) Nikischer.
Bill married Juliana Sharkany on Feb 22, 1936, in Detroit. Upon completion of trade school he was hired into Ford Motor by Henry Ford. He retired from Ford as a supervisor in 1968 after 38 years. Bill and Juliana have been residents of Williamsburg since 2004.
Bill is survived by his wife of 70 years, Juliana; his children, William F (Joan) Nikischer, Jr of Little Twin Lake and Judith P (J David) Holman of Canmore, Canada; his grandchildren, Craig (Sue) Nikischer of Ann Arbor and Jill (Toby) Candler of St Cloud, FL; and great grandchildren, Ryan, Zachary, and Owen Nikischer, and Asa Candler.
Cremation has taken place per Bill's wishes.
Arrangements were made by Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home.
