William F. Kitta, 69, of Kalkaska, died Mon, Sep 12, 1994, at the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
Mr. Kitta resided in Garden City until two years ago when he moved to Kalkaska County. Prior to his retirement in 1989, he was employed by Craggs Cabinets in Farmington. he was a member of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII, and was a member of V.F.W. Post 142 in Redford.
Mr. Kitta was born in Orient, PA on Oct 2, 1924, to William and Julia Senosky Kitta. On Jun 7, 1952, in Mt. Clemens, he married Evelyn Apel who survives.
Also surviving are one son, Al Braun of Mancelona; four daughters, Carol Sherb of Daytona Beach, FL, Susan Kearney of Westland, Jean VanDeWater and Deborah Marano both of Garden City; two brothers, Anthony and Kenny Kitta both of Elkton, VA; two sisters, Patricia Patterson of Wyandotte, and Carolyn Bennett of Detroit; 11 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Thu, Sep 15, 1994, at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church. Father Patrick J. Barrett officiated. Burial was in St. Mary of the Woods Cemetery.
The Rosary was recited on Wednesday at the Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska.
