William Clayton Barber Sr. of South Boardman died Friday, Nov. 8, 2002. at the home of his son James in Kewadin.
He was born June 27. 1915, in Rapid City, the son of Howard and Elizabeth Peck Barber.
Mr. Barber was a longtime resident of South Boardman and a member of the United Methodist Church there. He was an avid golfer.
Mr. Barber is survived by wife Mae Barber; children Joan (Bill) Evans, Gail Wohlwend, Sandra Fleharty, Bonnie (Ron) Engstrom, Pamela (Dewayne) Nickelson, James (Judy) Barber, Delmar (JoAnn) England, and William Bar- ber Jr.; 20 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; sisters Helen (Harvey) Deater and Ruth (Edward) Taisey; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Idella Crothers; and brothers Russell and Lawrence Barber.
Memorial services were Sunday, Nov. 10. at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City with the the Rev. Howard Seaver officiating.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
