William C. Smith, 81, of South Boardman, died Sat, Jan 11, 1992 at his residence.
Mr. Smith moved to Kalkaska County from Detroit in 1972, following his retirement from Woodall Industries. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII, and enjoyed fishing.
Mr. Smith was born in England on Apr 14, 1910 to Harry and Alice Williams Smith. On Jun 30, 1928, in Detroit, he was married to Elizabeth Johnstone who preceded him in death on Dec 18, 1988.
One brother, Alfred Smith, also preceded him in death.
Surviving are four sons, William Smith of Lima, OH, Thomas Smitho fGA, Daiv Smith of Mt. Clemens, and Craig Smith of Detroit; two daughters, Elizabeth Campbell of Mt. Clemens, and Lois Golden of Royal Oak; one brother Hary Smith of South Boardman; 23 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.
No services are planned at this time.
