William Albert Rudolph, 74, died Oct 1, 1998, at his residence in Bear Lake Township, Kalkaska County.
Mr. Rudolph was born Feb 4, 1924, in Beaverton to Joseph and Mildred (Overy) Rudolph. He married Doris Folland Dec 31, 1954 in Traverse City.
He was a retired machinist. He was a member of Eagles Aerie 383 of Traverse City and helped in organizing Cherryland Eagles Motorcycle Club.
As a pilot he built and flew his own planes, having also built a gyrocopter. He was also an avid archer and bowler.
Besides his wife, he is survived by sons Mark (Tina) Rudolph of FL, James (Barbara) DeWolfe of CO, and James Rudolph of WV; daughters Judy (John) Homrich of Howell and Mary (Terry) Bowers of OH; sister Glenda Eversol of FL; brother Joseph D Rudolph of Traverse City; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Wed, Oct 7 at Bear Lake Community Chapel at 11 am Pastor Dave Rosenberg will officiate.
Memorials are suggested to Munson Hospice or the family.
