Wilbur Eben Elliott, 72, of Fife Lake, passed away on Feb 15, 2007, after a courageous four year battle with cancer.
Born on Apr 2, 1934, in Fife Lake, he was the son of the late Eben and Frieda (Bird) Elliott. He was united in marriage on Aug 28, 1959, to Beulah Cain.
He is survived by his wife, Beulah, son Wayde of Fife Lake; daughter Lori of Traverse City; sisters, Johanna (Chuck) Whiteford of Williamsburg, and Elaine (Al) Coffman of South Boardman; brother, Don (Lucy) Elliott of Fife Lake; sister in law, Viva Perry of Manton; many nieces and nephews; and his dog pals, Mickey and Skipper.
He was proceeded in death by his parents; brothers, Jim and Lynn Elliott, Bob Daniels, George Perry; sister, Grace Elliott Wolfe; and stepsister, Margaret Perry Stuck.
Wilbur served in the Air Force from 1953 to 1956 serving in Korea. He was a member of the American Legion Post 463 in South Boardman, the VFW Post 8684 in Kalkaska, and the South Boardman Senior Center.
Wilbur loved hunting, fishing, carpentry, playing cards, western movies, country music, and dogs. He was a heavy equipment operator for Kalkaska Construction for over 20 years.
Funeral services were held on Mon, Feb 19 at Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home with Reverend William Kuiper officiating from the Evergreen Bible Baptist Church.
