Wesley Wiser, 77, of Imlay City passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at home. Wesley Roy Wiser was born March 30, 1935 in Detroit. He was the son of Stanley and Anna Louise Wiser. He grew up in Detroit and Livonia, and he spent his summers in Allenton. He graduated from Bentley High School in Livonia, class of 1953. Wes married Patricia Ann Hepfinger on July 15, 1955 in Detroit. He was on the Livonia Fire Department. He retired from the City of Livonia in 1965 and they moved to Imlay City in 1968. Wes worked as a Watch Maker at Cook & Cook Trophy Company in Detroit, Trost Jewelers in Detroit, and Zales Jewelers in Detroit. He also worked at the Brisk Foundry in Imlay City. He worked as an Engraver at Republic Stamp in Centerline.
He was a Lifetime Member of the Livonia F & AM Masonic Lodge and of the Lapeer county Agricultural Society. He was the unofficial Ambassador for the Eastern Michigan State Fair for many years.
Wes is survived by his wife Patricia of Imlay City; daughters; Lynn Kreiner of Burnside, Sherry (Thomas) Bissett of Lum, and Shawn Wiser of Imlay City; son: Roy Wiser of Imlay City; 6 grandchildren: Tiffany (Kyle) Wright, Kevin (Tiffany) Kreiner, Kayla (Kraig) Medina, Thomas “Chip” Bissett, Sara (Robert) Hoell, and Trevor (Becky) Bissett; 9 great-grandchildren: Austin, Kody, Kamden, Brandon, Michael, Haleigh, Avrie, Quinn, and Ella; and sister-in-law: Carol Wiser of Royal Oak.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Stanley and Anna Louise Wiser, son-in-law, Raymond Kreiner, and brother: Robert Wiser.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, Rev Donald Moshier and Jerry Schriber will officiate. Burial will follow at Arcadia Township Cemetery. The family will be available for visiting 3-8 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2013 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City.
