Wendell E. Skrine, 74, of Kalkaska, died Thu, Feb 6, 1992 at Munson Medical Center.
Mr. Skrine moved to Kalkaska County in 1972 following his retirement from General Motors Truck Coach. He enjoyed hunting, and was a charter member of the Cornerstone Community Bible Church.
Mr. Skrine was born in Pontiac on Aug 17, 1917 to George and Minnie Cragg Skrine. On Jan 9, 1937, in Pontiac, he was married to Helen J Johnson who survives.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, George E. Skrine of Lake Orion and Walter R. Skrine Sr of Kalkaska; three daughters, Maryelle St. John of Romulus, Judith Fairbotham of Lake Orion, and Deborah Lyons of Pontiac; 18 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.
Four brothers, Joseph, Ralph, Russell, and Kenneth, preceded him in death.
Memorial services were held Sun, Feb 9, 1992 at the Cornerstone Community Bible Church located at the C.E.T.A. building located near Manistee Lake. Pastor Walter Skrine officiated.
Arrangements were made by Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska.
