Weldon L "Wally" Pojar, 67, of South Boardman, died Sat, Jul 1, 2000, at his home. 

Wally worked for several years as a meat cutter, and then spent the remainder of his career as a mud engineer in the oil industry. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Gardner-Neihardt American Legion Post in South Boardman. He had resided in Kalkaska County since 1972, and was a member of the South Boardman United Methodist Church and the National Rifle Association. 

Wally was born in Norfolk, NE, on Aug 28, 1932, the son of the late Herman and Rose Kucera Pojar. On Aug 24, 1958, in Omaha, NE, he was united in marriage with Marilyn Stahr. 

He was a loving and unselfish husband, father, and friend to those who survive, including wife Marilyn; daughters Kellie Pojar of South Boardman and Debra Pojar of Kalkaska; brothers Bob, Patrick, Thomas, and Larry Pojar, all of South Sioux City, NE, Duane Pojar of Minneapolis, MN, and Virgil Pojar of Sioux City, IA; sisters Adeline Evans of Foster, NE, Engeline Bradish, Vada Coan, and Charlyne Snyder, all of South Sioux City, NE, Marguerite Roberts of Pender, NE, Lois Luenhagen of Boise, ID, and Caroline Angerman of Silt, CO; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Brothers Leo and John Pojar preceded him in death. 

A service of appreciation for the life of Wally Pojar will be at 2 pm, Thur, Jul 6 at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska; Pastor Howard Seaver officiating. Interment will be in Boardman Township Cemetery, Kalkaska County. 

Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 5 pm and 7 to 9 pm Wednesday.
