Wayne H. Bell, age 70, of Marlette, MI passed away peacefully with family by his side Fri, Apr 2, 2021 at Cape Coral Hospital in Cape Coral, FL.
He was born Jun 29, 1950 in Brown City, MI son of Herbert Bell and Grace Lowe-Kinkella. Wayne graduated from Brown City High School with the Class of 1968 and then attended Flint Junior College. He married Christine Blatt on Jan 9, 1971 at the Omard United Methodist Church and they were married 50 years. Wayne was a small business owner and owned Brown City Auto Parts in Brown City, MI for 36 years finally retiring in 2017. He enjoyed golfing with his friends, taking care of his lawn, wintering in Florida, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Left to cherish Wayne’s memory are his wife, Christine Bell of Marlette, Mi; three children, Jeremy (Virginia) Bell of Maryville, TN, Jason (Jill) Bell of Marlette, MI, and Jessica (Kenneth) Borsick of Piedmont, SC; twelve grandchildren, Caitlynn (Mack) Swafford of Ramstein Air Base, Germany, Austin and Andrew Bell of Maryville, TN, Nicholas Trombley of Dryden, MI, Angelika (Clay) Burns of Aviano, Italy, Cameron Carmen of Maryville, TN, Emily, Gracie, and Ely Bell of Marlette, MI, Noah, Brantley and Layahbelle Borsick due to the end of April of Piedmont, SC and great grandson, Kyler Lee Swafford of Ramstein Air Base, Germany; father, Herbert (Sue) Bell of Homosassa Springs, FL; and brothers, Kim (Lisa) Bell of Burlingame, KS and Joe (Teresa) Bell of Lecanto, FL. Wayne’s memory is also cherished by brothers in law, Dale (Janet) Blatt and Kenneth (Patty) Blatt of Brown City, MI; sisters in law, Gail (Bruce) Hurley of Lapeer, MI and Bonnie (Randy) Mitchell of Brown City, MI; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Wayne was preceded in death by his mother, Grace Lowe-Kinkella; sister, Kathy Sey; father in law, William Blatt; and mother in law, Phyllis (Harnden) Blatt.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12 pm Tue, Jun 29, 2021 at the First United Methodist Church of Marlette with Pastor George Ayoub officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking those desiring to make a Memorial Contributions do so to the First United Methodist Church of Marlette – Building Committee/ Fund.
