Funeral services for Wayne Campbell, 79, of 535 Paris Avenue, Lansing, formerly of Fife Lake, who died early this morning in Roselawn Manor Nursing Home, Lansing, will be held Thu at 2pm from the Smith Funeral Home, Kingsley.
Rev. Gerald Hedlund of the Fife Lake Methodist Church will officiate, with burial in Fife Lake Cemetery.
Mr. Campbell was born Feb 10, 1891, in Grand Traverse County, the son of George and Martha Campbell. He married Nellie C. Stampfler on Mar 3, 1917.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Theodore (Jeanette) Daft of Lansing; two sons, William of Mt. Pleasant and Edward of Lansing; 11 grandchildren, five step grandchildren, and one great grandchild; a brother, Jay Campbell of Traverse City and many other relatives and friends.
Mr. Campbell was preceded in death by five sisters, one broher, and Mrs. Campbell who died on Aug 24, 1952.
