Ward VanHollis Jr, 75, of South Boardman, died Sun, Jan 4, 1998, at Munson Medical Center.
Mr. VanHollis was a lifelong resident of the Kalkaska area. He had been employed by Elk Rapids Packing company and Leisure Time. W. G. Wade, and Happyland Shows. He enjoyed fishing, walking, and country music.
Born in Charlevoix on Sep 6, 1922, he was the son of Ward Sr and Edna Hawkins VanHollis. On Jun 26, 1970, in Boyne City, he married Martha Hodgkins, who survives.
Besides his wife, he is survived by son Forrest VanHollis of South Boardman; daughter Clinettie (Scott) TEster of Kalkaska; sister Margaret Lee of Oscoda and a grandson.
A son, Roy, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Wed, Jan 7, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Rev. Paul Karges, pastor of the Peoples Church will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 am until service time on Wednesday.
