Mrs. Wanda W. Lowery, 60, of Kalkaska, died Fri, Jan 8, 1993 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
Mrs. Lowery had been a resident of Kalkaska County for the past three years after moving from Ypsilanti. She retired from Chrysler Corporation in 1983, and enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and reading.
She was born on Aug 16, 1932, in Trinity, AL, to Elmer and Dora Lee Walker Standridge. On Oct 8, 1949, in Mississippi, she married Loice Lowery, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Marlina (Mickie) Castle of Kalkaska and Patty Lowery of Belleville; three brothers, Sam A. Standridge of Danville, AL, Lloyd Standridge of Decatur, AL, and J. Quincy Standridge of Kalamazoo; two sisters, Thelma Roberts of Kalamazoo and Inez S. Washburn of Lawton, and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Laverne Standridge and Wilma Worden.
Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Wed, Jan 13, 1993 at the Brown-Service Funeral Home, Decatur, AL. Rev. J.T. Lowery will officiate. Burial will be in Caddo Cemetery, Lawrence County, AL.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzhiemer's and Related Diseases Foundation.
