Wanda Lawrence Blasing, aged 94, of Bakersfield, CA, went to be with her Lord, Nov 26, 1999. She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Sharon and Jack Hood of Bakersfield; grandson, Richard Hood of Las Vegas, NV; granddaughter and husband, Holly and David Couch of Bakersfield; five great grandchildren, Janice Hood of Sonoma, CA, Kristin Bull and Kelly Bull of Bakersfield, RB Hood of Morrow Bay, CA, and Conner Couch of Bakersfield. She has one nephew, Ellis Shotwell of Ionia, MI. Wanda was born Jul 29, 1905 in Oakfield Township, Kent County, Greenville, MI
She married Erny Blasing on Jun 20, 1927. He preceded her in death May 25, 1985. Wanda was a member of the Second Congregational Church of Grand Rapids, MI. We love you, Mama, and will miss you. Interment services will be held at a future date at Ashley Cemetery in MI.
