Wanda Ann Latta, 69, of Reed City passed away Wed, May 23, 2012 in Baldwin. She was born Dec 15, 1942 in Syracuse, New York to Mabel Hill and Ellison Printup. At age 15 she met her adopted mother Thelma Youngs and settled with her in Hale, MI. She was employed with the Hollaway Company in Wixom, MI, as a roller operator and helped build roads and highways throughout Michigan. She had lived in Mancelona and Kalkaska before moving to the Reed City area in 1988. She loved casinos (especially Little River Casino) and enjoyed family, friends, and Yahtzee games. She was known to have a keen sense of humor.
Wanda is survived by her sons, Ernest (Carri) Latta of Kalkaska, and Chester Latta of Reed City; daughters, Diane Curtis of Rochester, NY, Thelma Lou (Eric) Gaines of Fayetteville, NC, and Linda (John) Gaffney of Reed City; brother Tim Printup of Lafayette, NY; sister, Gloria Printup of Tandawanda, NY; ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Rita Printup, and her adopted mother, Thelma Youngs.
Funeral services were held on Sat, May 26, 2012 at the Pruitt-Livingston Funeral Home in Reed City with Rev. Doug Bennett officiating.
