Walter S. Dalrymple, 61, of Kalkaska, died unexpectedly Jul 14, 1998, at his daughter's home in Holt.
Mr. Dalrymple was born Dec 28, 1936, in Jackson County, the son of Walter S. and Ella (Hillard) Dalrymple. He grew up in Jackson County and attended Springport School in Springport. He spent his senior year at Kalkaska High School. After graduating he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. On Apr 30, 1960, he married Janet Dunlop of Onondaga. He was a retiree of General Motors in Lansing, an active member of Kalkaska Moose Lodge 2348 and a member of Mason-Holt FOE 3734. He loved the outdoors and his family.
He is survived by his wife Janet; son Dennis of Lansing; daughters Terri (Kash) Boettcher of Lansing and DeAnne (Mike) Crippen of Holt; sisters Marguerite North and Luella (Ken) Phillips seven grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother (Leland) Glenn and sister Catherine Nowlin.
Cremation has taken place.
Services were held Jul 17 at Robertson Funeral Home in Leslie.
