Walter H. Hauser, 80, of Kalkaska, died Thu, May 23, 1991, at his residence.
Mr. Hauser moved to Kalkaska in 1971 from Lansing following his retirement from Oldsmobile. He was a former Lansing City Councilman, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and traveling. Mr. Hauser was a member of Prince of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Traverse City and the Coldsprings-Excelsior Taxpayers Association.
Mr. Hauser was born in Lansing on Apr 2, 1911 to John and Martha Schmidt Hauser. On Sep 16, 1933 in Lansing, he was united in marriage with Opal Larabee who survives.
Also surviving are one son, John Hauser of Lansing: one daughter, Mrs. Gary (Mary) Ludwig of Portsmouth, VA; one sister in law Helen Hauser of East Lansing; one grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
One brother, Robert Hauser, preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held Sun, May 26, 1991 at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Pastor Robert Kujawski officiated. Burial was in Excelsior Township Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
