Wallis N. (Wally) Ort II, 32, 243 E. Blackford County Rd 450-N, died Thu in Indiana University Medical Center, Indianapolis.
Mr. Ort, a lifelong resident of Hartford City, was 1981 graduate of Blackford County High School and a 1982 graduate of the agriculture short course at Purdue University. He worked for Terry International and owned Classic Lawns Inc. He was a member of the Indiana Truck Pullers Association and the Ohio Truck Pullers Association.
Survivors include his wife, Joni B Johnson Ort; his parents, Wallis N and Bernice Vaughn Ort, Hartford City; two brothers, Steve A Ort (wife, Traci), and Kenneth R Ort (wife, Amy), both of Hartford City; his father in law, Glenn E Johnson, Hartford City; a cousin, Greg Wall, Montpelier, and several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
Services will be at 10 am Tuesday in Keplinger Funeral Home, with Rev. Rodney Eiler officiating. Burial will be in Hartford City Cemetery.
Calling will be 3-9pm Monday at the funeral home.
