Wallace C. Morrissett, of Montrose, age 67, died Fri, Oct 15, 2004 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Tue, Oct 19, 2004 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Rev. Leo W. Good officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 5 to 9 pm and Monday from 1 to 4 and 6 to 9 pm. A masonic memorial service will be held at 7pm Monday evening. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner’s Crippled Children’s Hospital. Wally was born Sep 18, 1937 in Flint, MI to the late Clyde and June (Sewell) Morrissett. He had resided in Montrose since 1962. Wally married Patricia Porter Jul 25, 1959. She preceded him in death Feb 1, 2004. He was employed with GM’s SPO Division for 43 years, retiring in 2000. Wally was a member of the Montrose Masonic Lodge #428 F&AM where he had served as past master and was named Mason of the Year in 1983. He was also a member of Elf Khurafeh Shrine Temple’s Directors staff and the Royal Arch Masons. Wall was very active in masonry and dedicated much of his time to children’s charities. He also enjoyed golf in his spare time. Surviving are: 4 children: Marie (Dennis) Good of TN, James (Anong) Morrissett, William (Angela) Morrissett, Tony Morrissett and fiancée Karen Brokos all of Montrose. 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. 2 brothers: Clinton Morrissett of IL, and Stan Morrissett of Montrose. 1 sister: Sandra Gullett of Grand Blanc. Also surviving are numerous friends and relatives. Wally was also preceded in death by his great uncle Richard.
