W. Jean (Morris) Adkins, 61, of Westland, formerly of Kalkaska, died Aug 10, 1998, at Annapolis Hospital in Wayne.
Jean resided in Dearborn Heights until five years ago, when she moved to Westland. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Ford Motor Company. She was an avid collector.
Born in Kalkaska on May 21, 1937, she was the daughter of John and Opal Lense Morris.
Surviving are sons Douglas K (Terry) Bomersheim of Canton, and Brian J Bomersheim and William R. Bomersheim, both of Evart; daughter Sheila (Brian) Eberhart of Dearborn Heights; her dearest friend, Jim Godfroy of Westland; brothers Glen (Pat) Morris, Harold (Brenda) Morris, and Robert Morris, all of Kalkaska; sister Edith Dustin of Metamora, Doris (Gene) McLean of Kalkaska, and Marilyn (Ron) Strong of Florida, and grandchildren Ryan, Brandon, and Lisa Bomersheim and Nicole and Brian Agnew.
Sisters Vera Roote and Thelma Thomas preceded her in death.
Memorial services were held Aug 12 at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. E. Dan Johnson officiated. Inurnment was in Evergreen Cemetery, Kalkaska.
