Von C. Lee, 69, of South Boardman, formerly of Indiana, passed away on Wed, Aug 24, 2011 at Munson Medical Center. He was born on Aug 15, 1942 in Anderson, IN to Lavon and Martha (Calhoun) Lee.
Von served his country proudly as a member of the US Navy from 1961-1965. He married his wife Joan on Jan 5, 1983 in Kalkaska. He was a Deputy with the Kalkaska County Sheriff's Department for over 25 years. Von was a homebody but did love to go fishing. He will be deeply missed by all those that knew and loved him.
Von is survived by his devoted wife of 28 years, Joan; his loving children, Rebecca (John) Sy of Noblesville, IN, and Von Charles "Chuck" Lee of Kalkaska; his step daughter Shelly (Daryl) Carr of Cadillac; his precious grandchildren, Ashley, Alyshia, Mason, Justin, and Brooke; and his dear mother, Martha Lee of South Boardman.
He was preceded in death by his father Lavon, and his stepson Richard Ferguson.
Visitation took place on Fri, Aug 26, 2011 from 2 pm to 8 pm at Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home. The funeral was held Sat, Aug 27, 2011 at 1 pm at the funeral home with Mr. Terry Williams officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.
