Vivian Lucille Turnipseed, 80 of Kalkaska, passed away, on Nov 28, 2007, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. She was born on Nov 17, 1927, in Kalkaska to the late Harry and Nina (Armstrong) Larabee.
Vivian married Alfred "Murray" Turnipseed on Nov 17, 1946, in South Boardman. Vivian and Murray were married for 55 wonderful years until his death in 2002.
She was a lifelong resident of Kalkaska and was a member of the Spencer Church of Christ and the Farm Bureau. Vivian enjoyed cooking and farming. She was a loving member and grandmother and will be deeply missed.
Vivian is survived by her children, Alfred W (Cheryl) Turnipseed of Broken Arrow, OK, Victor M (Joan) Turnipseed of Kalkaska, and Jeanne M (Glen) Catt of Gaylord; siblings, Beatrice Patterson, Leeta Martin, and Nova (Don) Darke all of Kalkaska; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her husband; her parents; her son, Chris Turnipseed; and her siblings, Opan Hauser, Harold Larabee, melvin Larabee, Rex Larabee, Max Larabee, Devere Larabee, and Alma Larabee.
Visitation was Thu, Nov 29, from 5 to 8 pm at Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home in Kalkaska. The funeral services were on Fri at 11 am at the Spencer Church of Christ with Reverend Mark McCool officiating. Interment will be at Lodi Cemetery.
