Vivian G. "Sally" Wall, 94, of Fife Lake, formerly of Greenville, went home to be with her Lord early Fri morning, Apr 4, 2003, from the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center, Kalkaska. 

The daughter of Eston and Achsa (Williams) Jackson, she was born Oct 8, 1908, in Montgomery County, IN. 

On Nov 27, 1926, in Crawfordsville, IN, she married Francis L Wall. They later moved to Michigan and settled in Grand Rapids around 1937. In Oct of 1947, Frank and Vivian moved to Cedar Springs when they purchased Hill's Bakery, which they owned and operated for many years. 

In 1952, Vivian, who was known as "Sally" by then, bought the patterns, material and one sewing machine from a local lady and began to design and make a variety of red flannel garments. The business was known as The Francis Lee Red Flannel Factory. When she retired and sold the business in 1971, she had 20 sewing machines in operation. Her garments can be found all over the world. 

Sally enjoyed her family, friends, flower gardens, crocheting, knitting, and doing anything artistic with her hands. Sally had a knack for offering kind words of guidance, support and encouragement to everyone, especially young people. She was a great story teller. Vivian was an active member of the Greenville First Church of God and enjoyed participating in many community events. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Francis L Wall, on Nov 18, 1986; a brother, Athel Jackson; and a sister, Bonnie Smith. 

Surviving are son and daughter in law, Darwin L and Lillian Wall, of Cedar Springs; daughter and son in law, Achsa and Merlin Hulbert, of Fife Lake; grandchildren, John Hulbert of Fife Lake, James Hulbert of Glendale, AZ, Jack and Sue Hulbert of Shelbyville, and Joyce and Ruben Barreto of Grandville; 10 great grandchildren and their spouses; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews and their families. 

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Wed, Apr 9, 2003, at the Brown-Teman & Christiansen Funeral Home, Greenville, with the Rev. Dave Perry, pastor of the First Church of God, and the Rev. Don O'Leary, pastor emeritus, officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Home Cemetery, Greenville.
