Virginia Mae Wagester, 61, of Mancelona passed into eternal peace at her home on Jul 28, 2005, surrounded by her family after a 10 month battle with cancer.
Ginni was born in Peck on Jun 20, 1944, to Martin and Dorothy Wagester.
She was a graduate of Peck High School and Michigan College of Cosmetology. She was coowner of the Korner Kurl Beauty Shop in Lexington.
After moving to Kalkaska, she worked as a beautician at the Kalkaska Medical Health Center - Long Term Care Unit.
Virginia's faith, church, and family were her priority in life. She lived her beliefs everyday always putting everyone's needs and wishes above her own. She enjoyed working in her flowers, horseback riding, baking and had a love for animals.
She was a member of Kalkaska United Methodist Church and a former member of Williamsburg and Central Lakeport Methodist churches, where she was a Sunday School teacher and youth group leader for many years.
Virginia is survived by brothers, Wesley (Kathy) Wagester of Almont, Dean (Ellen) Wagester of Lapeer, and Ray (Robie) Wagester of North Branch; nieces and nephews, Michael Wagester, Zachary Wagester, Michelle Kennedy, Martin, and Heather Wagester, Marla and Tony Fallarme, Deana and Tim Hunter, Jan and Dara Wagester; great nieces and nephews, Nicholas Hunter, Ashley and Brittany Kennedy, Lily Fallarme, and Griffin Wagester; an aunt Mrs. William Jones of Deckerville; as well as her extended family, Dorothy Schram, business partner and friend of 42 years, Linda Schram, Douglas an Sue Schram, Justin Richards, Dan, Heather, Amanda, and Nicholas Colombo, Shawn, kely, Kriste, and Taylor Schram, Scott, Dawn, Tiphani, and Danielle Schram, and Jean Stoutenburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Dorothy Wagester.
Memorial services will be held on Mon, Aug 1, 2005 at 1 pm at the Kalkaska United Methodist Church.
Per her wishes, cremation has taken place through the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
