Mrs. Virginia Madeline Cooper, age 84, of Walkerville, passed away, Thu, Jul 7, 2016, at Oceana County Medical Care Facility. She was born Aug 28, 1931, in Mt. Clemens to Glenn and Elizabeth (Ferrin) Starkey. She was a homemaker and member of the Walkerville Wesleyan Church. Mrs. Cooper was known for her greeting card, that she made personally.
Virginia is survived by two daughters: Dawn (Bill) Ross of Shelby and Rachel (Jeff) Iteen of Hart, and six sons: Dennis (Denice Erbs) Cooper of Grant, MI, Keith (Debbie) Cooper of Jenison, MI, Craig (Linda) Cooper of Walkerville, Mark (Rosemary) Cooper of Perrysburg, OH, Gary (Jody) Cooper of Adrian, MI and Peter Cooper of El Paso, TX; two sisters: Lori (Ken) Rose of North Branch and Ming Hawkins of Lapeer, MI; she also has twenty three grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; half sister, Lois (Nate) Forrester of Traverse City, MI; half-brother, Bob (Kathy) Starkey of Delware. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Barbara Starkey, husband, Dale O. Cooper on Jul 3, 2013.
The Memorial Service for Mrs. Cooper will be Sat, Jul 23, 2016, at 1 pm at Walkerville Wesleyan Church with Pastor Bob Abbott officiating. Interment will be in the Carpenter Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday one hour prior to the service at Walkerville Wesleyan Church, 144 S. Hamon St, Walkerville, MI.
