Virginia McCrea, 52, of 4039 Park Lane Traverse City, died Mon at Gerber Memorial Hospital at Fremont after a long illness.
Born to Ray and Lillian Hanna at Traverse City on December 21, 1923, she was a life long Traverse City resident.
Mrs. McCrea was a self-employed interior decorator for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Earl in 1971; two brothers: a sister, Mrs. Ellen Clark; and three grandchildren.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Lonnie (Beverly) Schaub of Kingsley, Mrs. Alfred (Victoria) Scriver, Minnie Green and Mrs. Henry (Betty) Shawnoskey, all of Traverse City, and Mrs. Larry (Paula) Gauthier of Grawn; David of Elk Rapids, Jerry of Kingsley and Robert of Traverse City; 24 grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Mabel Henstchel of Fruitport, Mrs. Nellie Milks of Arizona and Mrs. Minnie Meyers of Cedar; two brothers, Willie Ray Hanna of Ohio and Julius Hanna of Fremont; and sveral nieces and nephews and a good friend Art Wooters.
The funeral is scheduled for 1pm Thur at Martinson-Covell Funeral Home with the Rev. Gerald Schudlich officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
