Virginia L Watson, 83, of Kalkaska, passed away peacefully on Sat, Oct 27, 2007 at Grand Traverse Pavillions. She was born on Nov 18, 1923, to the late Guy and Irene (Nash) Cross.
Virginia married Everett Watson, Sr. on Apr 6, 1940, in Kalkaska. She was a lifelong resident of Kalkaska. Virginia enjoyed baking and canning her own grown vegetables. She was a very hard working woman. It was not uncommon for Virginia to invite you to visit an share a piece of her homemade pie. She was also very proud of her children and grandchildren.
Virginia was a member of the Excelsior Church of Christ.
Surviving Virginia are her sons, Everett L (Sandra) Wilson Jr and Ronald L (Kendra) Watson all of Williamsburg; her son in law, Robert Bottle of Florida; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; her siblings, Gerald Cross of Kalkaska, Larry Cross of CA, and Ardis Watson of Kalkaska.
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Everett in 1986; and her daughters, Karen and Sharon.
A memorial service will be held on Thu, Nov 1, at 11 am at the Kalkaska Church of Christ with Jeff Badgero officiating. Burial will be at Excelsior Township Cemetery.
