Mrs. Violet Shafer, 49, of 506 Greeley Ave, died Saturday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital after undergoing surgery.
Born at Altoona, she lived here about 31 years. Services will be at 1:30 pm Tuesday in Arnolds Highland Park Funeral Home. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Shafer is survived by her husband, Paul; two daughters, Mrs. James LeMar and Mrs. Robert Bartlet, both of Des Moines; three sons, Donald Davis, Altoona, Paul Shafer, Jr, Des Moines, and David R Shafer, on duty with the navy; her mother Mrs. Alice Eshelman and two brothers, Ralph and Donald Eshelman, all of Altoona, and 12 grandchildren.
