Violet Marie (Johnson) Hutchins, 77, of Plant City, Florida, died Sun, Jun 7, 1992 at her residence.
Mrs. Hutchins was born Sep 6, 1914 in Rockbridge, OH to Clifford E and Addie (Rider) Erwin. She married Emory Johnson Apr 13, 1934. He died Jul 19, 1957. She married Ralph Hutchins May 11, 1962 and he preceded her in death Jan 11, 1989.
Mrs. Hutchins was a resident of Alma from 1962 to 1973 when she moved to Ft. Lauderdale. She was a retired secretary from Central Michigan University. She had attended Central Michigan University and was a life member of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority; past president of Gratiot Community Hospital Auxiliary; president of the Women's Auxiliary of Georgian Court in Ft. Lauderdale; a member of several bridge clubs and she enjoyed knitting and music, she played the organ.
She is survived by a daughter, Beth Carol Hight and her husband Frank of Plant City and a son Emory Daniels Johnson and his wife Sherry of Kalkaska; two stepchildren, John Hutchins and Carol Hutchins Everett both of Alma; a brother, Clifford Erwin and his wife Barbara of Saginaw, a sister, Helen Adair and her husband Kenneth of Logan, OH; four grandchildren and four step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husbands she was preceded in death by a sister Mary Warner and brother in law, Durward Warner.
Funeral services were held Thu, Jun 11, 1992 at Helms Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. Mr. W. Robert Palmer officiated. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant.
