Mrs. Violet Neeley, 64, of Manton, formerly of Kalkaska, died Nov 30, 1998,at her home.
Violet resided in Kalkaska County from 1981 until recently, when she moved to Manton. She worked as an independent real estate salesperson for Century 21 H & H Realty in Kalkaska prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Grand Traverse Board of Realtors, and enjoyed football, fishing, and square dancing.
Born in Plymouth, IA, on Feb 18, 1934, she was the daughter of Dale and Lena Thompson Young. On Jun 18, 1953, she married Byron Neeley in Pontiac. He preceded her in death on Mar 5, 1986.
Surviving are daughters Valerie (Donald) Brady of Metamora, Vickie (Dannie) Woodcock or Manton, and Tonie (Brad) Dimon of Kalkaska; sisters Doris O'Conner of Montana, and Eleanor Walker and Carol McIntyre, both of Iowa; nine grandchildren and one great grandson.
Funeral services were held Dec 3 at the Kalkaska Church of Christ; Robert Saxton officiated. Burial was in Westwood Cemetery, Kalkaska County.
