Victor L. Peterson, 67, of Manton, died at his home Aug 20, 1996 of heart failure.
Mr. Peterson was born in Kalkaska on Apr 9, 1929 to Thomas and Pearl (Allen) Peterson. He grew up in Kalkaska County graduating from Rapid City High School. He served in the U.S. Army. He worked for General Motors in Grand Rapids for 32 years. After his retirement he moved to Manton in 1985.
He is survived by one son, Steven Peterson of Manton; four daughters: Deborah Zylastra of Newaygo, Kathy Peterson of MS, Valerie Peterson and Barbara Peterson both of Grant; three sisters: Doris Way of Kalkaska, Arleen Clup of Marysville, Claribel (Richard) Olson of Kalkaska; three brothers: Wendell (Marion) Peterson of Jacksonville, FL, Donald (Phyllis) Peterson of Williamsburg and Edward (Sandra) Krumlauf of Kalkaska; 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four brothers: Clyde, Willard, Ralph, and Bruce.
A memorial service will be held at the family home, 4488 E. 12 1/2 Road, Manton, on Sat, Aug 31, 1996 at 1 pm. Cremation has taken place.
