Victor B. Triplett, 53, of Kalkaska passed away on Feb 1, 2006, at his home surrounded by his family.
Born on Jan 29, 1953, in Grayling, he was the son of Frank and Frances (Dick) Triplett.
Victor was a veteran of the military, serving our country in the US Air Force faithfully during the Vietnam War. He married Shirley Lantzer on Aug 4, 2001, in Kalkska.
A life long resident of Kalkaska, Victor enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping, picking mushrooms, his motorcycle, and Corvette. Victor was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge No 2348 and the Coffee Club at the local Big Boy, all in Kalkaska.
Victor is survived by his wife, Shirley, children, Timothy Triplett of Oshkosh, WI, and Tonya (Michael) Callaway of Norfolk, VA; mother, Frances Triplett of Kalkaska; siblings, Al (Dawn) Triplett and Jan (Gale) Cobb, all of Kalkaska, Patty (Jeff) Haig of Alba, and Mary (Jim) Bertrand of Rapid City.
Preceding Victor in death was his father, Frank V. Triplett.
A funeral service honoring Victor was held on Sat, Feb 4 at the Wolfe Funeral Home, with Jeff Badgero of the Kalkaska Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be at Excelsior Township Cemetery.
