Mrs. Verta I. Annable, 87, of South Boardman, died Fri, Feb 21, 1997, at the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center Long Term Care Unit.
Mrs. Annable resided in Hastings until 3. 5 years ago when she moved to Kalkaska County. She was a member of the First Methodist Church of Hastings, and was a Past Noble Grand of Hiawatha Rebekah Lodge No. 53 in Hastings. She enjoyed her family and gardening.
Mrs. Annable was born in Eaton County on Jan 13, 1910, daughter of the late William and Emily (Woodard) Meister. On Jun 10, 1931, in Hastings, she married Charles Annable, who survives.
Other survivors include sons Dr. Charles (Toni) Annable, Jr of Corpus Christi, TX, and Richard (Jean) Annable of Ft. Wayne, IN: daughter Beverly Hall of South Boardman; 16 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. Daughter Barbara Annable preceded her in death in 1980.
The family met friends Feb 23 at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska. Graveside services will be held in the spring at Woodland Cemetery in Barry County.
