Vernon L. Stoops, 56, of Kalkaska died Mon, Oct 23, 2000, at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center.
Vernon was born in Kalkaska County on Jan 17, 1944, to Ervie and Rose Bolton Stoops. He was a lifelong resident of Kalkaska.
He was a member of the NRA, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors.
Surviving are brothers, Lawrence, Stanley, Wendell, and Clark, all of Kalkaska, and William of Fife Lake; sister Muriel Weesies of Rapid City; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sisters Irma, Sharon, and Shirley, and brother Gordon.
Graveside services held Oct 26 at Evergreen Cemetery in Kalkaska; Rev. David McCool officiated.
Arrangements were by Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska.
