Vera Brooks Vargason, 85, passed away Nov 10, 2000.
Vera was born in Hoxeyville Jun 20, 1915. She met her husband of 66 years, Leonard Vargason of Rapid City, when he was serving with the Civilian Conservation Corps in Hoxeyville. They live in Flint, spending their summers at the Vargason homestead in Rapid City.
Surviving are husband Leonard; daughters, Shirley (Don) Frost of Alden, Phyliss (Jerry) Sanders of Lapeer, Wanda (Marshall) Delay of Lennon, Margaret (Joe) Frame of Birch Run, Connie (Jim) Stevenson of Grand Blanc, Donna (Ron) Kellaway of Grand Blanc; three sisters, two brothers, 16 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by daughter Clarice Tompkins.
Funeral services were Nov 13 at Browns Funeral Home in Flint; Pastor Ray Luke officiated.
