Udeen M. Swain, age 75, of Irons and formerly of Almont, died Friday, April 27, 2007 in Marlette.
She was born April 18, 1932 in Flynn Township of Sanilac County to Victor and Vivian Clapsaddle.
She married Howard Swain on May 18, 1964.
A housewife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother Udeen also did bookkeeping for her husband’s business in Almont, Howard’s Collision. When Howard re-tired they moved to Irons, Michigan and enjoyed fishing and Bingo.
She is survived by a son, Duane(Renee) Dewey of Cottonwood, AZ; and a daughter, Debra (Mark) Makedonsky of Imlay City; six step-children; 19 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Max(Lois) Clapsaddle.
Udeen was preceded in death by her husband, Howard; a son Randy Dewey; a granddaughter, Macia Dewey; and a step son Roger Swain.
A gathering for family and friends will be today from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm at Carman Funeral Home in Brown City.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2pm at the funeral home with burial in Omard Cemetery. Elder James McLeod will officiate.
