Thomas James Milan, 56. of Rapid City, passed away Feb. 10, 2003. at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
He was born Mach 25, 1946, in Grand Rapids, the son of James and Esther (Olszewski) Milan.
Thomas graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in Mt. Pleasant. He was a resident of Rapid City since 1990 when he moved from Mt. Pleasant. Thomas was a dedicated and supportive member of Alcoholics Anonymous and Bear Lake Christian Church in Kalkaska.
Thomas is survived by his family which includes his children: Tony Thomas Milan of Dewitt and Marissa Kelly of Traverse City; father James Theodore Milan of Grand Rapids; mother Esther Marie Potyraj of Grand Rapids; and sisters Nancy Lee Martens of Jackson, Patricia Marie (Jack) Taber of Grand Rapids, Marilyn Kay Brauer of Grand Rapids, Jamie Sue Milan of Lansing, and Melissa Lynne Wisneski of Grand Rapids.
A memorial service honoring Thomas was Feb. 15, 2003 at Bear Lake Christian Church Memorials may be given on behalf of Thomas to Bear Lake Christian Church, Education Wing, 221 E. Bear Lake Road, Kalkaska, MI 49646.
