Thomas Frydel, 68, of Kalkaska died Sun, Jun 14, 1992 at the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center. 

Mr. Frydel was employed as a process engineer at General Motor's Technical Center, in Warren, for 28 years. He retired in 1980. He was active in St. Paul Lutheran Church in Kalkaska, and he enjoyed woodworking, camping, hunting, and gardening. 

He was born on Apr 29, 1924, in Detroit, to William and Josephine Warner Frydel. He was married to Audrey Stephen, who preceded him in death in 1973. On Oct 4, 1975, he married Mildred Kleehammer in New Baltimore. 

Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, S. Sgt James Frydel of Westerly, RI; two daughters, Mrs. William (Carol) Barrett of West Liberty, OH and Mrs. Louie (Barbara) Campbell of New Baltimore; three stepchildren, Edward Kleehammer of Kalkaska, Helen Hall of South Boardman and Willard Kleehammer; one sister, Rita Klock of Mt. Clemens; three grandchildren, 11 step grandchildren and seven step great grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and Edmond Frydel. 

Funeral services were held Thu, Jun 18, 1992 at the Gendernalik & Sebold Funeral Home, New Baltimore. Rev. Melvin Hiler and Rev. Ted Turanski officiated. Burial was in Centennial Cemetery, New Haven. 

Memorial contributions may be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Kalkaska or Christ Lutheran Church in New Baltimore. 

Local arrangements were made by Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska.
