Thomas D. Councilor, 61, died Fri, Mar 10, 2000, at his home in Mancelona.
He was born on Nov 1, 1938, in Mancelona, the son of Aldrich and Viola May (Holderman) Councilor. On Jan 13, 1972, in Mancelona, he married Dorothy (Cushaway) Grody. She preceded him in death on Oct 1, 1996.
Tom dove truck for East Jordan Transportation since 1984. He enjoyed truck driving, hunting, and participating in Belgium horse pulling contests.
Tom is survived by stepdaughters Dian (Helmut) Schaefer of Gaylord, Judy (Emmett L) Burley of Mancelona, and Tammy (Tod) O'Dell of Mancelona; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brothers David (Alice) Councilor of Phoenix, AZ, and Jerry (Ardis) Councilor of Traverse City; and sisters Helen (Harold) Alexander of Springdale, AR, and Susan (Joseph) Robbins of Mancelona.
Funeral services were Mar 14 at the Antrim Church of Christ in Mancelona; Pastor Mark McCool officiated.
Interment in Fairview Cemetery in Mancelona.
