Thomas Carl Lutz of Traverse City died peacefully Jan 18, 2009, at the age of 74, at the Bortz Health Care Nursing Home in Traverse City.
He was born Oct 1, 1934, in Detroit, the son of Charles and Marjorie Lutz.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene; a sister, Virginia Lutz and his parents.
Thomas is survived by his son, Erich Lutz; his daughter, Kristin Levesque; his sister, Barbara Roberts and two nephews, Peter and Matthew Montagna.
Thomas moved away from northern Michigan in 1990. He first moved to South Carolina and then to Florida, in 1999. He was an advocate of the Women's Resource Center in Jacksonville, FL and received a Volunteer of the Year Award for his services.
Tom moved back to Michigan in 2004. Tom had a passion for photography and will be remembered by many as always being ready to capture a moment with his variety of cameras.
