Mrs. Thirza L. Rowell, 77, of Kalkaska, died Fri, Oct 13, 1995, at her residence.
A retired beautician, Mrs. Rowell was a member of the W.C.T.U., the Lake Gibson Methodist Church in Lakeland, FL, and was affiliated with The Peoples Church in Kalkaska. She had been active in Girl Scouts, and enjoyed crocheting and collecting angels.
Born in Fife Lake on Sep 11, 1918, she was the daughter of Harold and Alta Thorne Jors. On Jan 17, 1970, in Kalkaska, she married Woodrow Rowell who survives.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Tammara Senzig of Grand Rapids and Tara O'Brien of Wyoming; three stepsons, Richard, Bob, and Jim Rowell all of Kalkaska; four step daughters, Marion Lee Shaw of FL, Janet Daniels of Fife Lake, and Anne Wagenschutz and Julie Berthelot both of Kalkaska; her extended family Fred and Norma Shira of Wyoming; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Memorial services were held Tue, Oct 17, 1995, at The Peoples Church in Kalkaska. Rev. Paul Karges officiated. interment will be in Fife Lake Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be directed to The Peoples Church or North Country Hospice. Arrangements by Wolfe Funeral Home, Kalkaska.
